Politicians demand woman ratio for pedestrian traffic lights

Mannomann! In the western city center of Dortmund politicians of SPD and the Green want to push back the traffic light man. They demand a woman ratio for traffic light figures - naturally cost neutral.

Everywhere, where the gentlemen cannot shine any longer - it is from senility or because of unexpected defects, is traffic light women to its place to step. Upon the request of the two parties the city administration checks now whether 50 percent of traffic light women is possible.

The politicians argue thereby also with security. Since the traffic light woman Rock carries, also the shining surface is larger. Thus a traffic light woman is more remarkable than a traffic light man - and so the safer road sign. Whether the traffic light woman may wear also trousers or short hair, became in the discussion not brought up for discussion.

SPD and the Greens had passed its “request on for the realization of traffic light women” at the end of Octobers to the administration. The city administration must now check whether the idea is convertible. At the same time it is assigned to look for more modern alternatives to the GDR Ampelfrauen.

Above all the traffic light male from the former GDR is meanwhile cult. From its form the female variant originated in to 2004. Probably the wide variety at traffic light figures in Germany has at present Erfurt. Here there are also traffic light men, who appear as bakers, carry an umbrella or eat ice.
