Those who consumed them usually has a risk of developing the disease decreased by 23% with respect to those who do not eat them. I formaggi grassi sono uno scudo contro il diabete di tipo 2

The sample - THE edible fats, explain scientists, can influence the metabolism of glucose and insulin sensitivity and play a crucial role in the development of type 2 diabetes. Already several epidemiological studies had suggested that a high intake of dairy products could have a protective effect. The new work has analyzed data for nearly 27thousand people people, of which 60% are women, aged between 45 and 74 years. The authors have examined the main sources of dietary fat and have classified on the basis of content and in their association with the risk of diabetes. Were recorded the table habits, the assumption of total energy, the body mass index, physical activity, the consumption of cigarettes and alcohol, levels of education of the sample over a period of fourteen years. Were identified 2,860 cases of type 2 diabetes.
Milk Fat benefits - as regards the dairy products, scientists have seen, for example, that increase the recruitment of cream associates to a 15% reduction of the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. While the consumption of milk fermented with a high fat content, can be found, for example in full-fat yoghurt, reduces the risk by up to 20 %. On the other hand, was not found no association between intake of dairy products low fat and the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
Meat to avoid - scientists are pursuing your finger against the meat and its derivatives: the study shows that a high consumption is associated with, regardless of the fat content, to an increase in the risk. But this increase is to surprise more significant for beef and low-fat (+24 %) than in those more "fat" (+9 % ).
Role of prevention - Ulrika Ericson, lead author of the study, concludes: "These results together with the fact that the risk of getting diabetes decreases with a high consumption of dairy products "fat" in the diet, but not with those of low content, seem to suggest that the specific fatty milk products, unlike the animal fats in general, may have a role in the prevention of diabetes type 2 ".
