Hercules: How Dwayne Johnson has become a half-God

On 27 August, Dwayne Johnson slides into the skin (lion) of "Hercules" : a mythological character and mythical for which the colossus has undergone a drastic drive.

Dwayne Johnson was born to play Hercules". The filmmaker Brett Ratner mentioned at the time the passion of the actor to the mythological hero ... and obviously his impressive lineman, ideal to give life to the character. Yet, despite its 120 kilos and its 1m96, the former wrestler has had to submit to a drive of titan to give body to his vision of Hercules. Upstream of the filming, Dwayne Johnson has thus concocted an intense program of weight training and cardio for eight months, accompanied by a specific regime (proteins, white meat, fibers ... ) at the rate of six to seven meals per day. A drive worthy of the twelve work, that it has maintained during the production of the feature film, in current and by lifting from the melting of the dawn, before each day of filming. The result on the screen? A true colossus worthy of the mythology ... and of the graphic novel Hercules: The Thracian Wars which is inspired by the feature film. And yet, despite this preparation, Dwayne Johnson has almost throw up our arms and abandon the project as a result of a double-injury contracted in the framework of a wrestling match at WrestleMania: a tear of two tendons of the basin which has led to a triple Abdominal hernia! But it has to be something more than to divert the comedian of his purpose. The evidence in images in this making-of ... muscle, necessarily.
